usually, go out on them even if you drive it well. It will still go out on you every 45k miles if you are lucky. The engine eats and leaks alot of oil, boost hoses are weak and need to be replaced with silicone ones and just getting to some of the hoses are a PITA! Plus, the turbo's on the RX-& are weak and that will eventually go out on you as well. Otherwise, its a great car but don't get it for reliability please! I would recommend 1st and 2nd generation RX-7's for reliability. I have a second and I had a 3rd generation 1yr and a half ago. I sold the 3rd generation because of toooo many problems. If you have money to waste and don't mind paying a mechanic to change the Apex seal for $2,000 or more, to get it fixed whenever it goes out then get it... -Jeff
